Learning Assistance Teacher (LAT)
Focus: Academic support for students with learning needs
Learning Assistance Teachers work with students who have been identified as having learning differences. We provide instruction and guidance in both the classroom and a designated learning space. In addition, we collaborate with teachers to help them address the diverse learning needs of all students in their classrooms. Learning Assistance Teachers administer reading and math screeners as well as more in-depth assessments to determine a student’s academic strengths and areas for growth. Our goal is to equip students with tools and strategies that foster independence and academic success.
