Welcome to Glenrosa Middle School! GMS first opened its doors in 1994, and has been a wonderful home for its students ever since.
Currently, we have 490 students in grades 7, 8 and 9, and they represent a diverse and proud community. Our dynamic staff work hard to make meaningful learning experiences for our students every day, and we hope that everyone leaves better for experiencing our school.
At Glenrosa Middle School, we focus on our school goal to have each student demonstrate evidence of acquiring School District No. 23's "Attributes of a Learner": Thinker, Learner, Collaborator, Innovator and Contributor. This year, as part of our technology refresh, we have close to a 1-to-1 ration of Chromebooks to student. Our teachers are leading learning in their classrooms through the many collaborative Google Apps. We are so excited to be pushing forward with innovative thinking and learning that will prepare our students for the exciting world ahead of them.
We believe in the importance of strong partnerships between home, school and community in supporting each child to reach his and her fullest potential. As such, we encourage all parents and guardians to regularly communicate with each of their child's teachers, as well as with the administration, and the school in general.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact myself or Mr. Franklin by email or by phone (250-870-5176) at any time.
